The Old Catholic Church of North America (OCCNA) is the North American Province of The Old Catholic Church (TOCC), a body committed to preserving and practicing the faith of the early undivided Church. The OCCNA adheres to the theology, liturgy, and ecclesiology of the Church before the Great Schism of 1054.
At the heart of the OCCNA’s mission is a desire for visible unity with other churches that maintain the orthodoxy of the first millennium, particularly the Eastern Orthodox, and traditional Old Catholic Churches. This commitment reflects a shared reverence for the teachings of the first seven ecumenical councils, the centrality of the sacraments, and the apostolic succession of bishops.
The OCCNA believes that authentic unity is possible when the Church returns to the faith and order held by the early Christians. It avoids theological innovations that arose after the early councils, focusing instead on continuity with the historic Church. Through prayer, dialogue, and cooperation, the OCCNA seeks to restore communion among churches that remain faithful to the original apostolic tradition and the unity once shared by all Christians.
Please be advised if a church or communion is not listed on this site they are not in communion with the OCCNA or the TOCCNA. If you are interested in discussing a communion agreement please contact us using the email link below:
